My Story

My story begins in 2017, when I was just about to graduate from University. I wanted to treat myself to a trip abroad, so immediately following my graduation I set out on a two month solo trip to Kenya and Tanzania.

While in Zanzibar, I was somehow talked into trying scuba diving. At that time I had an all-encompassing fear of the ocean! But, as the “yes gal” I am, naturally I gave in. It was after my first dive that my life took a hard right turn and started down a whole new path.

Over the next few years…

I fell in LOVE with the ocean and all of its creatures. I started a doctorate program back home, and took vacations to scuba dive whenever I could! The summer of 2022 I was set to graduate, and again wanted to treat myself to a solo trip.

So, I booked a month long marine conservation trip to Belize. And it was after this trip I knew that I wanted it to be the center of my life! A few months later I sold my house, car, and most of my belongings and set off to Mexico to get my instructor certification. Now here I am a year later, making a living as a scuba instructor in countries all around the world

What is Next for Me?

I am starting a blog and YouTube channel to talk about all things travel and scuba diving! I share tips and tricks for traveling, recommendations on specific travel destinations, and what life is like as a scuba instructor. Check it out!
